Penang's last hand-made joss stick maker was Lee Beng Chuan. Chuan, in his early 90s, welcomes locals and tourists alike into his cramped Worksop in order to show you larger sticks he's made for festivals and old photos from decades ago. He and his son both sell sticks from the shop but never force it on those they invite inside.
